A class 7 student, who she thought was meeting an innocent Instagram 'friend', turned into a nightmare after she was locked up in a Lucknow Hotel Room and gang-raped for two days straight.
The appalling incident was confirmed by the girl's mother in her police complaint. As of now, two accused, named Piyush and Shubham, are in custody, while a search operation has been underway to arrest the main accused who lured the minor girl.
The mother's statement registered at the Sarojni Nagar Police Station revealed that her class 7 daughter came into contact with a man named Vimal on Instagram. And soon after, they started chatting and talking.
Following the initial contact, Vimal asked the minor to meet him on November 2. Whereas, to her surprise, the class 7 student found the main accused with two other friends, named Piyush Mishra and Shubham Shukla, in a Scorpio SUV. Vimal asked the girl to hop in for a joyride.
The innocent meeting with a friend turned tragic at this point when the SUV took the IIM road and checked into a hotel room. Additionally, the mother's statement further revealed that the three accused took away the minor's mobile phone and kept her confined to a hotel room and continuously raped her by turns. It was only after two days, the class 7 student, who went out around 10 PM on October 10, was dropped off near her home, and the three accused fled.
At the time of the complaint, the mother confessed that the minor was traumatised by the unexpected situation she had witnessed. As per a confession made by the class 7 student, she further added that the accused thrashed her daughter when she resisted the sexual assault. The accused also threatened to circulate a video of the assault.
As of now, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Currently, police are on the lookout for the main accused, Vimal, who is at large.
A police statement reads, "We have registered a complaint under relevant sections and taken two accused, Piyush and Shubham, into custody. Further action is being taken."
