According to reports, these toilets are unmanned and are fully automatic with pre-wash and post-wash provisions. The floors of the toilet get a thorough wash after each use which keeps them clean and stench-free. A few toilets also come with incinerators which will help women dispose of sanitary napkins.

The cost–

The corporation had to shell out around Rs 5 Lakh for these e-toilets, and they will also be spending an additional 5000 Rs per month for their maintenance. The government not only aims to make long-distance travelling easier for people but also seeks to solve the problem of open defecation and manual scavenging.

Where are these toilets located–

If you ever need to use these toilets, you can locate them with the help of a smartphone. The government has also launched an app that can help you locate them. You can also click the pictures of the toilet and send them the feedback. An independent agency will monitor the upkeep and maintenance of the toilets with the help of the app. Have you used these toilets?
