Dr Oliver Wolf Sacks, the renowned neurologist and novelist, died on Sunday at the age of 82. Known for his studies on brain disorders, Sacks was famous for his ability to combine science and story-telling. Sacks best-selling books include The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Awakenings , which was made into a feature film starring Robin Williams and Robert De Niro. Sacks wasn t the only one who lost his battle to cancer on Sunday. Noted Hollywood director, Wes Craven, also succumbed to brain cancer early yesterday. He was 76. Craven is famous for movies like Scream, A nightmare on Elm Street and the Hills have eyes. The prolific horror film-maker will always be remembered for his work.
