Brazil has confirmed 1581 cases of microcephaly related to the Zika virus since October 2015 the Health Ministry announced. A total of 7936 suspected cases of microcephaly were reported in the past nine months 3308 of which have been dismissed of its link to the virus and 3047 remain under probe the ministry said on Wednesday.
