Supermodel Bella Hadid opens up about her recent hospital stay, sharing heartfelt moments as she continues her ongoing battle with Lyme disease. Check her latest Instagram pose below.

Bella Hadid, who is a supermodel, has uploaded a picture to her Instagram recently is undergoing a treatment through IVs.She shared the post on September 17th , 2025. Although she never disclosed about her hospitalisation but she came out and apologised to her followers about her lack of presence on social media and thanked them.

The images depict Bella lying hospitalised under covers with a small crocheted angel cuddled to her. Other photos consist of her having a pizza, watching a sunset and a rainbow out of her hospital window, receiving family and friends who played cards with her and taking in a view of an outdoor garden. She also shared an image of herself in one corner of an elevator, with wet hair and a cup of coffee in her hands.

She has written in the photo, "I am sorry I keep going MIA. I love you guys" which means that she felt guilty of not being in touch with her followers at the same time as giving them love.

Bella has already talked about her lifelong struggle with Lyme disease. She was diagnosed in 2012, and in 2012 with her mother Yolanda Hadid and brother Anwar, she has spoken publicly about being chronically ill.

In 2023, she announced that she had gone through more than 100 days of treatment for Lyme and co-infections, and she was living with what she claimed were nearly 15 years of unseen pain. She also looked back on her experience in that post, noting that she thinks that the younger version of herself who went through suffering would be proud of how she has managed to persist and not give up.

The post on hospital of Bella was met with supportive messages by family members and friends. Her mother, Yolanda, referred to her as a Lyme warrior. Her sister Gigi wrote, "I love you! I wish you were as strong and good as you ought to be, soon!!!!!! ".Nikki Reed, an actress, also directed her love, good wishes, and light to heal.

It usually happens from the bacteria, such as deer or rodent as ticks pick it up from there. It usually happens when an infected tick is feeding on a person and it moves to the person's bloodstream.

We are not told of the exact reason why this specific hospitalisation happened, but the fact that Bella has had a history of Lyme disease provides context to the fact that she is in the act of sharing her moment of weakness. She has been expressing long how the disease, among other chronic co-infection management therapies, have put her to physical and psychological test. She has made it clear in previous posts that it is not the appearance of the outside that is the hardest part, but the amount of pain and hardship that is there, which is not seen. Bella also publicly expressed her gratitude to her mother ,the fact that she kept all her medical records, has never left her, defended, believed and even protected her at all costs.
