Most of us can feel our senses going against us when we are stressed or anxious. Moderately tolerable food may taste strange, drama on television may look irritating, people s unnecessary chatter might get on our nerves and if we are to believe a new study, the world around you could stink!
According to a new study, led by Wen Li, professor of psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Waisman Center, people find tolerable smells unbearable in moments of stress and anxiety. The study was conducted using powerful new brain imaging technologies, and subjects were shown disturbing images of war and car crashes.
