Australian Man Hospitalised After Severe Lead Poisoning From Kamini Tablets: Report
In a recent development, an Australia man was urgently taken to the emergency room and hospitalised after he suffered severe lead poisoning. As per reports, the lead poisoning was caused due to the consumption of Multani Kaminividravana Rasa also known as Kamini tablet. This product is marketed as a complementary medicine due to which the patient was exposed to alarming levels of lead and mercury.
As per media reports, the purchase of the lead contaminated tablet took place at a Southeast Asian supermarket in Adelaide. Officials believe that it may have been illegally imported into the country. The substance is markett3d as a powerful stimulant purported to enhance strength and vitality, the product is in the form of dark pellets but poses significant health risks due to its dangerous ingredients.
The products, Kamini tablets pose a very dangerous health consequences especially because they are illegal and unregulated. It contains a very high amount of heavy metals and the potential inclusion of opioids can create a high risk of dependence and serious health consequences. Previous analyses of Kamini have revealed harmful substances, prompting multiple public health warnings in recent years.

Australian authorities, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) had previously warned people about the Kamini tablets and the dangers that it possesses. They have highlighted that the tablets are dangerous poisons containing high levels of chemicals. They have also mentioned that the product has not undergone quality, safety, efficacy checks and evaluations as per the Australian law. Officials of TGA are also concerned about the presence of opioid content in Kamini tablets. There are ongoing tests to determine the presence of substances like morphine and codeine.
