Audrey Hepburn's birthday: Google Doodle celebrates legendary actress' 85th birthday

audreyIt's ironic that instead of celebrating Star Wars day (May the 4th be with you), which we assumed would be far more popular with the denizens at Google, the Google Doodle is celebrating Audrey Hepburn's 85th birthday. Audrey Hepburn was born on 4th May 1929 and passed away on 20th January 1993 of appendix cancer. In between that, she went on to become the most legendary actress to ever grace Hollywood with innumerable awards and classic movies like The Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady, Breakfast at Tiffany's and many more. My personal favourite was of course My Fair Lady which was based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in which a professor takes Eliza Doolittle and turns her Cockney (East London accent) into a proper English one.

After her death, Gregory Peck went on camera and tearfully recited her favourite poem, 'Unending Love' by Rabindranath Tagore. Hepburn epitomised beauty of her era and still continues to be considered the 'most beautiful woman of all time'. Here are 10 of her legendary quotes:
