Asian Heart Institute presented a study on beating heart redo bypass surgeries performed on cardiac patients (one of the largest studies on Indian patients in India and the world) between January 2003 and February 2016. The study included 411 patients operated for re-do bypass procedures with the help of beating heart technique at the hospital. Beating heart surgery is a way to perform surgery without stopping the heart. Out of 411 patients 200 patients were diabetic.
