Popular playback singer Asha Bhosle today said it is only because of Ayurveda that her eyesight was perfect even at the age of 80. I am 80-year-old and my vision is perfect. Since I was using oil mixed in Brahmi prepared by grandmother, there was no eye problem and I have never tried specs. The only problem I have is to take some allopathic medicine immediately after getting up in the morning, she said.
She was speaking after receiving the 'Rasika Priya' award, which consists of a citation, by Arya Vaidya Pharmacy as part of its Saptadi Celebrations (70 years). My elder sister Lata Mangeshkar's hair was so long that it nearly touched the ground, Asha proudly said, paying tributes to the rich heritage and tradition of ancient treatment.
