Recently a NGO has stated that the foods of the most sought after chain KFC is unsafe for consumption. The company disapproved to the allegation saying it was nothing but a spiteful attempt to bring down its reputation.

The lab tests conducted by Bala Hakkula Sangham concluded that KFC (product) is harmful. It showed that harmful substances like E Coli and Salmonella were present in KFC product. The NGO said that the samples were tested at the Telengana government laboratory. It had also approached the government of Telengana and Andhra Pradesh to take action against the company.

On the other hand, KFC dismissed all its allegations saying that his alleged report is a case of false allegation. They added that they had no knowledge of the sample being collected from any of their stores and in what condition it has been transported for this alleged test. KFC serves perishable food item meant for immediate consumption.

'We have not received any intimation from any authority in this regard. In any case, there is no possibility of any microbial development in our food that is freshly cooked at 170 degrees Celsius. We would urge you to verify all the facts before reporting this matter. Given this is an attempt to malign wrongly our brand reputation, we would strongly pursue this case and seek clarification from the concerned authorities,' a KFC spokesperson told.
