Actor Rajashekar Suffers Major On Set Injury After Comeback, Undergoes Lengthy 3 Hour Surgery
Tollywood star actor, whose recent good comeback in films came after a short hiatus, is reportedly having a serious on set accident that necessitated an emergency three hour surgical operation.The accident has raised eyebrows among his fans and fellow workers, particularly after the actor was preparing to give a full scale performance in action roles.The injury took place, according to sources of production, when Rajashekar was shooting an action segment, a very bad one, in his next project. Being famous due to the numerous stunts he does without body doubles, he demanded genuine performance in the scene. Nevertheless, a wrong step in a high energy stunt resulted in a serious fall and a blow strike to the body.The crew members hurriedly rushed and offered him first aid, and he was taken to a hospital close to him, where he was examined urgently.
The accident allegedly occurred on the outskirts of Hyderabad, where a big chunk of the movie block sequences was being filmed. The set up of the place where the high speed chase sequence would occur involved elaborate planning. The accident that happened was unforeseen, causing a sudden fall despite the tight safety control, and the actor was right before our eyes in pain. Filming was suspended, and the set was closed down as the medical professionals treated him.
The scans first performed showed that Rajashekar had sustained some deep tissue damage, which needed urgent surgery. Doctors reported that there were complications that might deteriorate unless prompt treatment is undertaken, and hence the surgery was scheduled to last only three hours. Since the actor has experience in playing physically challenging parts, experts were careful and carried out a thorough assessment prior to initiating the process.
Overall, according to sources, Rajashekar is stable and recovering, but has been advised to take strict rest within the next few weeks. The medical staff will also remain on the case of him, bearing in mind the strain that is put on his body during action oriented shoots. The actor should be fully recovered but the timing of his coming back to filming will be determined by how fast he recovers.The production house will change the schedule of shooting and might include more safety measures in order to avoid such incidences in future.
