It's important to acknowledge that anxiety isn't always the result of one single cause it often stems from a combination of these factors, and each person's experience is unique. Building open communication, providing mental health resources, and fostering healthy coping strategies can help in alleviating some of the pressures young people face today.
Probable Reasons Behind Anxiety Among The Youth Today
Job insecurity and uncertainly is one big factor that has the youth worried, especially in corporate environments. High inflation rates and low job opportunities have created a sense of dread about their future financial circumstances.
Post Covid-19 hybrid mode of working has also lead to an imbalance in people's personal and professional lives. Most employees end up working for more than nine hours every day which can result in burnout.
Workplace culture and environment is another cause. There is excessive workload in many corporate office environments, lack of staff, toxic bosses and colleagues which makes it difficult for young people to navigate through it all.
Social media and comparisons are the other two factors. These two factors tend to add constant pressure in the minds of young employees and he need to live up to unrealistic expectations at a very early age.
Limited mental health support in corporate offices. There is a general lack of support from organisations when it comes to actually addressing mental health concerns of each employee.
With student loan debt, high living costs, and the need to establish financial independence, many young professionals feel stressed about managing their finances, which can contribute to overall anxiety.
