In a tragic incident, a 73-year-old British man died of a heart attack after Singapore Airlines hit severe turbulence, earlier this week. "Geoffrey Kitchen, 72, suffered a suspected heart attack and died soon after, as the plane went into freefall for several minutes, throwing passengers into the ceiling and around the cabin," the sources informed the media.

They further added, "Seven passengers were severely injured, and 23 passengers and nine crew members had moderate injuries. Sixteen with less serious injuries received hospital treatment and 14 were treated at the airport."

As per reports, the flight from London bound for Singapore fell into an air pocket while the cabin crew were serving breakfast before it encountered turbulence, prompting the pilots to request an emergency landing, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport general manager Kittipong Kittikachorn.
