Now Chandigarh is reeling under the ever increasing number of dengue cases with city recording 12 new cases of dengue on Thursday. The toll has now gone up to 272. The Malaria Wing of the Health Department is currently conducting activities for prevention and control of dengue. The health department has started the task of checking houses for breeding areas and educating the public about dengue. So far officials have checked 2015 houses with 842 coolers 246 tyres 94 overhead tanks and 691 containers. They have also issued challans to 4 people for failing to maintain requisite levels of hygiene
