Communicable, infectious or transmissible diseases are diseases that can spread from one organism to another. They are caused by pathogens which include viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, etc. Communicable diseases are the most dangerous form of diseases because of the way they can spread inter and intra-species. Tuberculosis, bronchitis, pneumonia, malaria, HIV-AIDS are some of the more common infectious diseases. The number of deaths from infectious diseases has gone down tremendously over the centuries thanks to advancement in vaccines and some like small pox have been complicatedly eradicated.
