Blood donation is a process when a person voluntarily has blood drawn, to be used for transfusion or for other medical practices. Blood is a bodily fluid that delivers necessary substances such as nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transports metabolic waste products away from those same cells. Despite all the advances in medical science, blood hasn t been manufactured yet. It is often required during medical emergencies like surgery or by those who suffer from diseases like haemophilia, immune system disorders, sickle cell anaemia, etc.
