HolyPills is an artificial intelligence (AI) enabled telemedicine website accessible at www.HolyPills.in. It utilizes Dr. Kathuria's clinical methodology and adds digital components to enable patients to use a mobile application to document their symptoms and menstrual cycle patterns and subsequently receive an analysis of their overall health pattern by AI. Additionally, patients can utilize the application to initiate video consultations with experienced homeopathic physicians. Once prescribed, medicines are shipped to the patient. In addition to medications being shipped directly to the patient's residence, follow-up appointments also occur via telephone call once a month.
It should be noted that the timing of the launch of HolyPills is purposeful. There exists within India a systemic issue related to Women's healthcare issues that no matter how many hospitals are built will continue to exist. For example, research indicates that approximately one out of every five Women of reproductive age suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos). Unfortunately, even though this condition affects so many Women, the majority of hospitals around the country provide little more than prescribing metformin and telling them to "lose weight." diagnosing endometriosis can take up to seven to ten years globally, and India is no different. Another large portion of the issue is that there exists a significant difference in the way doctors listen to Women and provide long-term care versus simply treating the lab results.
One thing that sets HolyPills apart from other digital platforms that allow physicians to perform telemedicine consultations is its integration level. While several digital platforms have used AI to analyze symptoms, HolyPills uses AI to analyze symptoms while utilizing a constitutional model of care that views patients as systems rather than singular diagnosis. HolyPills' use of AI does not replace the physician but allows her/him to see and treat more patients and gain additional information about each patient that they may not have known before (i.e., continuous symptom tracking vs. Episodic doctor/patient interactions).
