Your work stress not only wrecks havoc on your body, it makes you cranky at your job and makes you carry that temper to your wife. But instead of just lighting a cigarette, there is an easy way to blow off your stress so that no one has to suffer. Doing this yoga mudra recommended by yoga expert Raman Mishra at the office will help you leave your work stress at the office itself.

A mudra is a hand gesture (or the way you put your hands together) that allows the free flow of energy in the body. A mudra also helps to apply pressure to certain acupressure points present on the hands, which in turn activates certain organs to produce the desired effect. So, to get rid of stress naturally, try ksepana mudra. Ksepana mudra releases stress by helping you let go all your negative thoughts. An excellent way to allow the stressors in your life to wash away only, this mudra helps beat depression, release pent up negative energies and toxins from the body. It also helps you focus better on your work. Here's how you can practise the yoga mudras the right way. Ksepana mudra Performing this mudra, is pretty simple like all other yoga mudras.

  • Sit in sukhasana or the easy pose and just Put your palms together, making sure that all five fingers together.
  • Now keeping your index fingers together and bend all the other fingers such that they are intertwined (like how you would make a fist).
  • Now point your index finger towards the ground. Stay here for a few 15-20 seconds while focussing on your breath. Make sure you completely relax both your hands.
  • Then place your hands on your thighs with your palms facing the ceiling and relax. Also, try these office yoga poses to beat stress and increase productivity.
