Gaslighting exists in most relationships. Let's talk about relationships that takes up most of our time in the day- those in our work place. This World Mental Health Day, the theme is Workplace wellness. Psychiatrist Dr Sanghanayak Meshram suggests a few ways that he suggests can help you deal with gaslighting in office:
Take a trusted third persons view: Believe it or not it works wonders. Being in the situation makes it difficult for yourself to assess the situation, therefore, take help from a trusted friend or colleague for a better and clearer view of the situation.
Take out time for yourself: As cliche as it sounds, this does make a difference. Taking out time for yourself will give you the mental peace you need and will give you time to love yourself. Go ahead, do things that you love.
Learn to say NO: Conquering the art of saying NO when you really think things are not right, will really take you places. Your abuser who takes you for granted will be taken aback by your first NO itself. And it will make you feel stronger day by day.
