Are you in the mood to try something more challenging and new? You must give this advanced yoga pose a try to build your arms and your upper body strength. You may find a bit difficult to get into forearm stand but one you start practising it regularly you will be able to get into it with ease. What's more, you will notice a huge difference in the muscle definition of your arms within a few days. Besides engaging your arms, shoulders and upper back muscles, this inversion also involves your core, says yoga expert Sunaina Rekhi.
Steps to perform
Get on your hands and knees and lower your forearms. Then straighten your arms to create a straight line between your elbows, forearms and fingers. Ensure that you do not let your elbows slide to the sides.
Slowly walk your feet as close as you can and gaze between your hands. Then slowly lift your right leg and then your left leg in a split position. Once you have are comfortable in holding your balance, raise your leg higher and hold for five breaths. Do not try to lift both legs at the same time as you may topple over.
Slowly lower your feet and then try kicking up with your left leg. Then lower your body down and rest in child s pose. You will find your face glowing after you are done with this inverted yoga pose.
