A recent photoshoot with a popular photographer, Annie Leibovitz, which was posted on Obama's Instagram handle went viral immediately after she appeared significantly slimmer in a new photoshoot. Fans were shocked that she looked tremendously thin in the latest photoshoot resulting in Ozempic use theories.
The former First Lady was seen wearing a grey T-shirt, jeans and suede boots for her latest project, Women, in which she appeared more toned. Lauding the American photographer, Michelle Obama wrote on the caption that Annie Leibovitz, "has always known that a photo can do more than preserve a moment it can say something."
"Her book Women did exactly that, expanding how we see women and the lives they lead through her lens. It was an honor to be photographed by Annie for the new edition, capturing the many ways women are showing up today. I hope you'll find it as inspirational as I do," she concluded the post.

After a photo and video of Michelle Obama went viral on Instagram and X ( previously known as Twitter) speculation about the former First Lady using a weight loss drug called Ozempic opened the floodgates.
Commenting on Michelle Obama's recent skinny look, one internet user on X wrote, "Do any of you have any idea how Michelle Obama suddenly lost all this weight at 61, which is also a difficult age for a woman to slim down?" Another agreed, "Yes she has the Ozempic look."
A third one said, "GLP-1. They have the money, they don't have to worry about insurance covering it and jumping through those hoops. The boomerang weight gain will be vicious... among other issues with that stuff."
One more commented, "So who's responsible for "trapping" Michelle Obama into that Ozempic weight loss? Who is she trying to emulate now?"
Ozempic is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist that mimics the natural hormone GLP-1, which helps to manage blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. The National Institute of Health (NIH) explains, "The drug leads to significantly improved glycemic control and weight reduction in patients with T2DM, maximising benefits similar to GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide."

Taking Ozempic shots may have certain side effects that include constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headaches, abdominal pain, fatigue, and low blood sugar. People who have severe side effects of semaglutide, the active ingredient of Ozempic, may experience vision changes, pancreatitis, kidney failure, gallbladder issues and allergic reactions.
