Be it her yoga DVDs titled 'Shilpa's Yoga' or her bouncing back into her sexy shape after pregnancy, this pretty lass has maintained her desirable figure over the years, and has probably got better with time.

The actress, who is touching 40, has been more in the news for her fitness than her films. But she is not a follower of any crash diets or fads. She believes in weight training and eating healthy at the right time. Her mantra is to eat a balanced meal and exercise on a regular basis. Even if you skip a day, the healthy diet makes up for it and you don't put on weight.

shilpaDuring her pregnancy, she weighed as much as 80 kg because of her fat-rich diet but was in no hurry to lose the excess weight immediately after the birth of her son, Vivaan. It was only after a few months that she resumed her exercise, taking baby steps at a time. She began with simple workouts like walking and cycling and then moved on to weights and power workouts. Within a few months of her workout sessions, she was back in her sexy avatar. She advises new mothers to get back in shape and lose all the extra kilos. She says that mothers can exercise for an hour, four to five times a week. This can be done during the day when the baby is sleeping as for the first nine months the baby sleeps a lot.

Shilpa, or 'lady long legs' has a perfect hourglass figure which she flaunts in leopard-print dresses, or more recently, in ethnic wears like sarees and anarkalis, as seen on a reality dance show. The actress who is married to businessman Raj Kundra has enthralled the audience many a times with her thumkas in the song UP, Bihar lootne and grooves in Shut up and bounce.
