Arjun Kapoor's fitness journey is not hidden from anyone. But did you know that the Bollywood actor lost over 50 kgs? The "Sardar Ka Grandson" actor recently shared on Instagram how his fitness journey began and how his late mother taught him to focus on his goals one of them being fitness.

Talking about his journey with a quirky caption, he wrote: "Pehle main bohot mota bohot pareshan tha . No no this is not one of those posts. Just putting it out there that I love every chapter of my life. Those days & even now, I have always been myself at every step of the way. I cherish every bit of it. I'm a work in progress like anyone & everyone else."

He further wrote, "My mother told me every stage of your life is a journey & you will always be a constant work in progress. I understand the meaning of that now more than ever & I'm loving that I'm working towards bettering myself every damn day !!!"

Arjun Kapoor's Fat To Fit Journey

For the unversed, before debuting in the Hindi film industry in 2012, Arjun was an overweight kid. With dedication and a lot of hard work, Arjun reached the level he is at today. He was 140 kilos and faced a lot of problems due to his weight. In his own words, he could not run for more than 10 seconds and suffered from asthma at the age of 22. But he knew that if he wanted to become an actor, and had to get rid of the extra weight, for which he did his best. He once said that Bollywood actor Salman Khan was his inspiration to get in shape. After starting on his journey, there was no looking back for the actor.

Arjun Kapoor's Workout And Diet

Workout: For his workout, he did 20 minutes of cross-fit training, followed by other forms of exercise. His workout included weight training, cardio, circuit training, CrossFit training, deadlifts, pullups, deadlifts and more. According to the actor, it is important to stabilize the core to do weight lifting.

Diet: A foodie by nature, Arjun Kapoor stayed away from junk food to lose weight. He religiously followed a diet chart prepared for him by a professional. Some of the major changes in his regular diet plan included switching to healthier food choices, no junk, avoiding high carb and sugary foods. Fresh fruits, vegetables and a high-protein diet became a regular part of his regular diet. If reports are to be believed, he ate egg whites, one egg yolk and toast for breakfast, bajra roti with veggies, dal and chicken for lunch, chicken or fish with rice or quinoa for dinner. For snacks, he used to rely on fresh fruits.
