While yoga is the ideal way to lose weight, fast-paced yoga styles need to be incorporated to your weight loss routine for quicker results. Start practising them as they are ideal to lose weight, lengthen your muscles and tone your body. Yoga styles such as ashtanga yoga and vinyasa flow can be best for weight loss as the increased activity can burn a substantial number of calories.

Vinyasa flow is a great pose to tone your arms, back and tummy. It requires you moving continuously through a range of poses such as downward dog to child s pose, which builds your endurance and stamina. Moving through these poses seamlessly and quickly can help you burn calories. A combination of three postures- parvatasana or downward facing dog, bhujangasana or cobra pose, and kumbhakasana, this yoga also helps improve your balance and flexibility.

The poses in ashtanga yoga target the major muscle groups including the upper body, abdominal and back muscles.
