The fruit is not a complete calorie-burner, but it is certainly low in calories and high in nutrition. A 100g serving of grapefruit gives your body a whooping 1.6g of fibre which helps your body to maintain proper bowel functions. Additionally, if you started consuming the fruit before your meals, its 90% water content will help you feel fuller and would help to reduce your intake of other foods that may be high in calories.
