From the previous post, you realised that we are often unaware of how much food we need. Just think, you need just 135 calories for an hour of running at 5 km/h. That is equivalent to just three chapattis. This explains why not eating too much is extremely important.
You may think that eating 2 meals per day is likelier to make you lose weight than eating 4, but this notion is wrong. What happens when you eat after long intervals is that your body goes into starvation mode, and makes you binge eat. Before starting on your journey to lose weight, try and consult a dietician who'll advise you a diet consisting of four meals. These four meals will take care of your nutritional requirements and even keep hunger pangs at bay. Another important benefit of such a practice will be that it'll boost your metabolism.
Most human beings need to consume just 1500 2200 calories per day depending on their BMI and various other factors, but they end up consuming much more. If you stick to this number for a few days, and combine it with some amount of physical exercise then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to lose weight.
