When it comes to an efficient and quick workout, nothing can beat boot camp. The bootcamp workout mixes strength training and cardio bursts to maximise the benefits of your workout. No muscles in your body will go unworked in a fast-paced bootcamp session. The vigorous workout ups your heart rate so you end up burning a lot of calories. Boot camp training builds muscles and burns fat supporting a healthy weight loss while improving your body strength and agility.

Exercises for weight loss

Squats, pushups, jumping jacks, burpees, crunches and lunges are some of the best boot camp exercises. These exercises target multiple muscle groups, unlike isolation exercises. A basic bootcamp training also involves dragging bags of sand across the field, sprinting rather than running on a field. The varied forms of activities in a bootcamp provide you with an interval training workout.

Losing the last few inches

As you lose weight, it is likely that you will hit a plateau doing the same camp activities. To lose that last few inches, add challenges to your boot camp regimen. Add more cardiovascular activities and lengthen your speed intervals. Add more weight if you are doing strength training exercises. Run and jug uphill instead of running in a plain area. However, it is important to understand your body limits and don t try to stress too much. It is common among many to get carried away and exercise too hard. Avoid it to prevent any injury.

Just one to two months of proper boot camp training can be equal to six to eight months of an average day-to-day training. The exercises speed up your metabolism and promote your cardiovascular health. Besides, boot camp can give an incredible amount of boost to your confidence. Did you know practising martial arts can also help you lose weight?
