There s no doubt that trying to lose weight is a difficult and uphill task. After all, if you want to see any visible results, you also have to improve your diet while exercising regularly. Before considering any radical methods of weight loss for better results, remember that even with weight loss, it is about working smart instead of only working hard.
We re constantly told to drink as much water as possible to lose weight. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that eating water-rich foods can help in cutting down your overall calorie consumption. A popular weight loss tip is to drink a tall glass of water before your meal time so you feel full and eat less. Researchers contradict that and say that this trick doesn t help since your body has different mechanisms for hunger and thirst and you won t feel full by only drinking more liquids [1].
Instead, add water rich foods like cucumber, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, carrots and lettuce to reduce your calorie intake. Make a salad and have a bowl of soup during meals. Fruits like watermelon, strawberries, pineapple, orange, plums, cherries, apples and pears are also water-rich foods that will help you in keeping hunger pangs at bay and make you feel more full. The best part is, these water-rich foods are low in calories.
By eating smart and consciously adding certain types of foods to your diet, you can lose more weight and see better results with a slimmer body and better skin and hair!
