To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Micropacer OG running shoe with a built-in pedometer, Adidas Originals will reissue the shoe on August 16. According to Adidas, the new shoe is a tribute to the original version, which with its metallic silver shell and colour-pop outsole was an entirely new look that enjoyed outstanding popularity upon its release in 1984.
Like the lace-less predecessor, the new Micropacer OG will proudly bear its pedometer on the tongue in place of a bow. Updated features include a softer, water resistant leather lining and exterior and a slip-resistant rubber outsole.
Completing the updates, the new version boasts an EVA midsole, made from high-quality foam that's got plenty of air for maximum shock absorption. The sneaker is set to retail for 150. Meanwhile, Adidas saw success in the US this week when its Samba Primeknit rapidly sold out upon release despite a 300 USD pricetag.
