Sandbags can enhance restorative postures and deepen stretches by adding extra weight to a particular area. For example, if you place a sandbag on your chest or your stomach, you will be able to bring more attention to the rise and the fall of your breath. You can also place the sandbag under your foot for a gentle calf and hamstring stretch.
