Try this squat variation to get toned and firm buttocks

Are you looking to shape your backside? Look no further than a wide squat as it can be one of the most efficient bodyweight exercises to perk up your butt. The move can give your buttocks a surprisingly tough workout.

Doing squats while widening your stance will target your glutes also tone and strengthen your thighs. It works on the muscles of your hamstrings and inner thighs which give your butt a lifted appearance. Plus, it will help strengthen your core while you work the muscles of your hips and back. Doing this several times also increases your heart beat and helps you burn calories.

Wide squats

Steps to perform:

  • Stand straight and place your feet apart while pointing your toes out slightly. Now keep your hands crossed in front of your chest.
  • Now bend your knees and lower down so that your weight is on your heels.
  • Then straighten your legs and come up.
  • Complete three sets of 15-20 repetition of this move.

To make the workout more challenging, you can also hold a pair of dumbbells in your hand with your arms straight and your palms facing away from your body.
