Jyoti has been quite on the fitness journey with some amazing weight loss results under her belt. She is on a mission to lose some 18 kg and is half way there with Zumba. How did she do it? Hear it from her.

I am 26 years old. With my erratic work and diet schedule, I gained about 15 kg in two and a half years. I got depressed looking at myself not able to fit into my old clothes. I would plan to go for jogging but always got bored of it within a day or two. Finally, I decided to try Zumba. I went for a demo class, and my definition of workout changed. It was nothing close to boring. The one hour of the workout was fantastic with the boosted jolt of energy. And at the end of the class, there was an amazing glow on my face. Since then I religiously go to my Zumba class thrice a week. Although I am not a great dancer, my not-so-good dancing skills did not bog me down. Zumba it not about how perfectly you dance but it is more about the how efficiently you work on each move which concentrates on each part of your body. It s been a year to Zumba and I already lost 10kg. Almost there isn t it?

Alisha s secret to losing over 12 kg in a month post pregnancy

You get weight loss success when you truly lead a healthy lifestyle, as Alisha Sharma found out. She lost 12 kg of her pregnancy weight with Zumba and a bit of a way of life change. Here s her story in her words.

I am a 31-year-old mother of a 20 months old baby girl. I had a c-section delivery after which I gained a lot of weight. I weighed 63kg post delivery. I desperately wanted to get rid of the pooch and found my secret weight loss weapon in Zumba.The high-energy workout is what I needed to go back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I do Zumba for more than a year now, and I weigh 53 kg, so 12 kg is lighter. I lost all the pregnancy weight along with the bulge in the middle. However, I follow a strict fitness routine to maintain my weight. I still do Zumba 2-3 days for an hour every week.I walk for 30 minutes every day in the morning. Once back from office lots of running after my daughter effortlessly adds on to it. I do not have any particular diet plan, but I have cut back on junk food, white rice, and soft drinks. I am 41 years old and was introduced to Zumba about a year ago by a close friend. I was not really looking to lose weight but an activity that would keep me on my toes. Initial Zumba classes were awkward. With great instructors I got the steps right after a few days and then started enjoying it thoroughly. Although I did not have any weight loss goal when I started with Zumba, I can see my body seemingly toned and feel light now. My stamina has increased, and I don t rest for a minute in the one-hour Zumba session. I practice Zumba twice a week and try never to miss the oh-so-fun dance workout.
