Steps to perform

  • Grab a pair of light weight dumbbells and hold it at an arm s length by the sides of your body. Your palms should face each other.
  • Step back with your left leg and lower your body until your left knee nearly touches the floor and your right knee is bent at least 90 degrees.
  • Stay in this position for 2-3 seconds and then push yourself back to the starting position. That completes one repetition. Do around 15-20 repetitions of this exercise.
  • Beginner s tip: If you find it too difficult to perform the reverse lunge with dumbbells, perform this exercise with just your body weight.
