Got bored of squats? Don t worry; you can a few perform other exercises to get that gravity-defying butt. These exercises recommended by fitness expert Roshni Shah will target the muscles of hamstrings and glutes and give you a toned tush and a firmer butt.

Dumbell deadlift: If you have saggy hips try this exercise. It targets the hamstrings and the back of the thigh muscles which lift and shape the lower butt.

Steps to perform: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees to reach down and grab the dumbbells without bending over. Lift the dumbbells and slowly raise the dumbbells to the hip level and then bring it back to your shin. Remember you are supposed to lift the dumbbells using the muscles of your legs, hips and other muscles and not your arms. Also, try these deadlift variations.

Superman: This exercise usually targets back muscles and is one of the effective ways to tone down your butt.

Steps to perform: Lie down on your stomach and slowly raise your hands and legs. Stay there for 2-3 breaths, lower and repeat. It might seem simple, but it is an effective workout for your abdomen and lower back.

Glute bridge: Also known as butt lift, this is an excellent form of exercise for perfectly toned hips. It acts by strengthening your buttocks and hamstring muscles. And the best part is that it is an incredibly easy exercise, perfect for beginners.

Steps to perform: Lie on your back, with bent knees and feet flat on the floor. Keep your arms by your sides. Now using your arms strength push your pelvis off the floor, towards the ceiling. Keep your body lifted such that your neck and head are still flat on the floor, and the rest of your body is in the air, similar to a bridge. Hold this for 5-6 seconds and repeat 4-5 times. Here are the best Pilates moves to tone your hips and butt.
