Tadasana or the palm tree pose is the foundation pose of most standing yoga asanas. It is a simple pose that is excellent to improve your posture. It gives a good stretch to your arms, chest, abdomen, spine and legs, helping you tone your entire body. When practised regularly, this asana can contribute to reducing back pain. It is also an excellent pose to calm and clear your mind. The gentle stretch in the abdomen in this pose can benefit you if you are in your early stages of pregnancy.
