A morning cup of joe can be excellent to make you feel more awake and alert in the morning. However, caffeine has stimulatory effects that can increase adrenaline, known as the fight or flight hormone. No surprise then that caffeine can make you tensed and jittery when consumed in high amounts. Drinking more than three cups of coffee per day can also disrupt your sleep. So if you are sensitive towards caffeine, you may be able to tolerate the decaffeinated coffee better. What is decaffeinated coffee?

Decaf coffee is just like regular coffee minus the caffeine. Coffee beans are run through a stream of water to dissolve the caffeine and then the beans are washed to remove any solvent, dried to remove the excess moisture and then roasted. 97% caffeine is removed in this process so it will not give you any jitters.

Decaffeinated coffee contains the same amount of antioxidants as regular coffee, but it will not work to improve your mental equity and alertness or ward off any drowsiness as regular coffee does. In fact, drinking decaffeinated coffee can contribute to a healthy liver.

However, you also need to limit your consumption of decaf coffee to two or three as many cups of decaf coffee could be a significant source of coffee you have been trying to avoid.
