Aam Panna by Chef Sanjeev KapoorTo bring some respite from the summer heat, make this cool drink called aam panna. A very popular drink across India, this refreshing treat is also quite healthy. It cools down your body and prevents from dehydration and a heat stroke. It is made from raw mangoes which are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants preventing several diseases. Learn to make this drink the perfect way from Chef Sanjeev Kapoor who shares his recipe with us below.

Ingredients

1 large green mango

1 teaspoon cumin powder

4-5 black peppercorns, crushed

teaspoon black salt

1 small pinch asafoetida (hing)

8 level teaspoons of artificial sweetener (or substitute with jaggery)

Method

1. Wash and boil the mango. Let it cool.

2. Peel, mash and strain the pulp.

3. Add cumin powder, crushed black peppercorns, black salt, asafoetida and artificial sweetener.

4. Mix well till it is well-blended.

5. Divide the mixture into four tall glasses, fill it up with chilled water.

6. Stir well and serve.
