Shravan recipe: Singhara cheela

Celebrate the month of Shravan with this healthy pancake.

singhara chillaWant to have something healthy on Shravan Mondays? Make this cheela or pancake made using singhara flour which packs in energy and nutrition. Here is the recipe.


  • Singhara flour - 1cup
  • Kuttu flour (buckwheat) - 1 cup
  • Bottle gourd, grated - 1 cup
  • Curd - cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

In a bowl, mix both the flours, bottle gourd and salt. Mix well and make a smooth batter using water.

Keep this aside for 15 -30 minutes.

Now heat the greased tava and spread the batter making thin pancakes.

Cook from both the sides and serve hot.
