Rice it is the first thing that most people give up in their weight loss diet plan. And in most cases, it is replaced with chapatis or rotis, which are known to be a healthier option. Unlike brown rice or unpolished rice, which makes you full, kolam variety is easy and fast to cook. Hence, if you are planning to eat rice, opt for fibre-rich rice and not heavily-polished rice, which has nothing but high content of starch. Moreover, the protein and fat content of rice and wheat are the same, 0.5 gm per 30 gm.
