You may think that quinoa is a boring thing to eat, but it is a rich, gluten-free source of iron, amino acids and protein. The protein in quinoa can also help you beat belly bloat. It is also rich in fibre that can keep you satiated, relieve constipation, lower cholesterol levels and provide more energy. Quinoa has a lovely nutty flavour and boils quickly, and hence you can use it to replace rice or pasta for a quick meal.   • Quinoa - 1 cup
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Olive oil 1 tsp
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Red bell pepper - 1
  • Sweet corn - cup
  • Oregano powder - 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder to taste
  • Salt - to taste


  • Wash the quinoa and soak in water for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Boil water with a pinch of salt and add the quinoa.
  • Reduce heat and cook for about 15 minutes till the quinoa is tender.
  • Put it in a strainer and drain out the water.
  • Heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add crushed garlic and saut .
  • Add the vegetables and saut till they soften a bit.
  • Add oregano, salt and pepper and mix well
  • Add quinoa and mix well.
  • Serve hot.
