Apart from these, you will need cling wrap, cello tape, satin ribbons or other strings and a pair of scissors.
Steps
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, or in a microwave.
Spread the sprinkles or dry fruits in the moulds.
Pour melted chocolate in the prepared moulds. Tap to release air bubbles.
Pop it in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut the satin ribbon or whatever you are using in a size that can be tied around the wrist.
Once the chocolate is set, take it out and unmould.
Wrap individual pieces in cling film. This makes it easy to transport the rakhi. You can skip this step if you wish.
Using the cello tape, fix the ribbon/ strings to the moulds so that it looks like a rakhi.
Health quotient
Since dark chocolate has numerous health benefits, I would advice to use it for this recipe. It is great for mental health as it helps in keeping you calm and stress free, alleviates cough and is beneficial for heart health. Also, the recipe does not call for any sugar, saving you adding on to your calories, unlike other sweets and desserts. 5 gms of dark chocolate has only 27.3 calories.
