Like every other year, this year also began with some resolutions. Losing weight topped the list as always and the first modification I usually make is to start eating healthy. I am still trying to like green tea and so experimenting with different brands till I get my perfect cup continues. This time on, I decided to pick the Organic India Tulsi Ginger tea bags. It is available in a bottle or container too but I prefer tea bags as they are convenient to use.
With fingers crossed, I tried my first cup brewed from this brand. I love ginger tea and had high hopes that this tea would be able to give me the kick I get from ginger tea. I am happy to say that it certainly lived up to my expectations and the mild tulsi taste is just so relaxing and refreshing. It is not as bad as the typical green tea after all.
After a week I got used to the taste and didn t mind drinking two cups a day. The tea is rich in antioxidants and is caffeine-free and that is a bonus. Here s why you must give up caffeine completely. Since it helps eliminate toxins from the body, it is a great detox option too. Both ginger and tulsi help boost immunity, improve digestion, release stress and add so much flavour to the tea. The fragrance is soothing too.
I usually sip a cup of tea when I wake up or before going to the gym and one early evening or post lunch. It makes me feel light and energetic and keeps the hunger pangs at bay for a couple of hours at least.
One pack of 25 tea bags costs Rs220 and I don t mind spending that amount since I like the taste. So currently, I am hooked on to this flavour. I will continue my search for other options once my second packet of tea bags is over. Till then, I am enjoying every cup.
