The mudras in yoga can help you cultivate a better sense of awareness. The abhaya mudra is one such mudra that can not only help you more aware and stay in the present but can also help you overcome fear. Also, practice these yoga poses to deal with anxiety disorders.

Abhaya in Sanskrit means fearless. History says that when an elephant attacked Lord Buddha, he used the mudra to overcome fear and stop the flow of negative energy. Performing this mudra before exams can be an excellent way to beat exam fear. It can calm the mind and help relieve anxiety. The mudra gives you a feeling of strength and courage. It will also help open up your chakras or energy channel and aid free flow of prana (positive energy), says Deepak Sharma, meditation teacher, Art Of Living.
