Are you a right-handed person? If yes, have you ever thought of writing with your left hand? Well, we are not talking about how difficult is it to write with the less dominant hand nor are we discussing how legible your handwriting could be when you write with your left hands. The point here is doing this is not just about the difficulty or fun but that fact that it can stimulate your brain and boost its function. Dr Thamil Pavai, Neurologist, Apollo Clinic shares few such off-beat tips to boost your brain activity.

1. Write a lot and think creatively: Both the activities need a thought process that makes your brain work. Write anything that you might love to write at least one page a day. As elders say having writing and reading as one s hobby is a real stress buster and clears any mental block helping you think and become more creative. Here are few neurobic exercises to keep your brain fit.

2. Use your less dominant hands: Use your left hand if you are right-handed and do the opposite. This stimulates the part of your brain that controls your muscles. Try writing something, drawing or playing games like badminton, caroms and many more. When you use the non-dominant hand, both hemispheres of your brain get activated, that helps you become more creative or triggers improved memory functioning. If you have already tried this trick, then try writing with both hands simultaneously.
