A quick, zero-hassle exercise for toned arms (no equipment needed)

Flab around arms is quite a concern for most women as just like your face and neck, your arms are the most exposed area of your body. Low levels of testosterone, being overweight and not lifting weights are some common causes of flabby arms. In her new book The Bridal Diet Get fit not fat , Nishi Grover, noted dietitian and author of the bestseller Lose a kilo a week shares the butterfly exercise that ll help you get toned arms that are ready to be flaunted.

The butterfly exercise involves rotation of your arms to tone not just your triceps, where most of your fat is, but your whole arm. You can do it in the comfort of your home without any help or machine.

Here's how to do it

  • Stand straight and raise your arms to the front. The arms must be raised at shoulder level and must be parallel to the ground with palms facing downwards.
  • Raise the arms upwards, now rotate it backwards anti-clockwise. This way you complete one circle.
  • Repeat this 20 times. Now repeat again 20 times but this time in reverse order (clockwise).
  • Do two sets a day for at least 4-5 weeks to see the difference.

You can combine this exercise with other exercises for toned arms for better and quicker results. You can also try this exercise to lose weight around flabby arms.
