Accustomed to partnering with all types of athletes, the sports outfitter is broadening its horizons through a tie-up with Brazilian photographers Flavio Samelo and Jayelle Hudson. Together with the husband and wife duo, Nike is launching a line of athletic tights with arty geometric patterns. Summer is just getting started, but Nike is already preparing fitness fans for the fall. This month, the brand is launching the first of three limited edition athletic tights designed in collaboration with photographers Flavio Samelo and Jayelle Hudson. The items designed in the tie-up will feature black and white designs inspired by the ways in which "city and nature work in harmony," according to Hudson.
The pattern on the first pair of tights is positioned strategically to highlight certain areas of the legs for a flattering look. The tights include Nike's Dri-Fit technology, which helps to keep the legs dry and comfortable during a workout. The first pair of tights in the "Flavio and Jayelle" line will be available with a matching sports bra from July 11 at Nike.com and in the brand's stores. The next two tights will be released in August and September respectively. The same print will be featured for the fall 2014 season in the design for several different shoes, such as the Studio Wrap Pack 2, Free TR4 and Roshe Run.
