Milind Soman fitness: It seems Milind Soman is getting fitter and younger every year. The 58-year-old has massive fan-following on social media and off it, because of his love for fitness, and the fact that he has been able to perform age-defying stunts and exercise routines, regardless of which part of the world he finds himself in, and the prevailing weather condition there. Be it sunny, or snowy, windy or rainy, Soman and his wife Ankita Konwar make it a point to work out with whatever paraphernalia they have. They are often seen running together, sometimes even bare feet. Other times, Soman loves to do his daily pull-ups and push-ups, while Konwar sticks to yoga and swimming.

Recently, Soman posted a video from his time at Stockholm, Sweden, wherein -- besides exploring the country -- he has also kept himself busy by finding the time to work out intensely. The actor and model took to Instagram to share a video, in which he did some heavy cardio routine in a forest!

"20,000 steps and 300 push-ups in a forest outside Stockholm," he mentioned in the caption. In the video, Soman seemed to enjoy himself while performing push-ups. He looked up and smiled at the camera sporadically, making it look all-too-effortless. Of course, for someone who is as fit as him, it may not be that difficult to achieve a fitness goal of 20,000 steps, and topping it up with 300 push-ups.

Someone in the comment section asked him how he managed to perform 300 push-ups, when most people cannot go beyond 30. Soman answered by saying that he did 10 sets of 30 push-ups each.

"At the age of 20, I struggle pushing past 500 push-ups on a chest day. Milind you're an inspiration (I'm jealous)," one of his followers wrote. Another person commented: "Amazing. Your passion for fitness inspired me a lot. Thank you for everything."

Soman is very fit and active, because of which he is able to lead such a spartan life. But, is it a good idea to combine two cardio exercise routines like walking and push-ups? The answer is yes. Combining cardio exercises like walking with strength training exercises like push-ups every day can lead to:

  • Improved cardiovascular health
  • Increased muscle strength and endurance
  • Weight management
  • Enhanced metabolic function
  • Better bone density
  • Improved mental health
  • Increased caloric burn
  • Improved sleep
  • Increased energy
  • Reduced risk of injury

But, it is important to remember a few crucial things, before you take it up:
