Push up to side plankDo you want an exercise that will help you target your core? Then you can do that by combining two popular exercises the universal push-up and the side plank.

Step 1: Get down on all fours and place your hands a little wider than your shoulders.

Step 2: Keep your feet together and strengthen your arms and legs. Make sure that your entire body is in one straight line, from head to toe.

Step 3: Keeping your elbows close, lower your chest till it's just one inch above the floor

Step 4: Hold this position for a second and bring your body up.

Step 5: While the above step is where the push-up ends to do a push-up to side plank, twist your body to the right hand side and raise your right arm towards the ceiling in a side plank.

Step 6: Lower the arm back to the floor and perform another push-up and then twist to left hand side and raise your left arm towards the ceiling in a side plank.

Step 7: Return to the starting push-up position.

Tips: Try and do this for as many reps as possible starting off with 10 on each side. Repeat for desired number of sets. Don't rush through the exercise and focus on holding the side plank position for a few seconds.
