I am a housewife and I have heard that eating almonds soaked overnight in water are good for health. Is this true? Should I start doing this instead of eating plain almonds? Please suggest.

Yes, it is true that soaked almonds are healthier than raw almonds. This is because they are softer and easier to digest which helps your body absorb their nutrients in a much better manner. Soaking almonds in water for five to six hours is enough but many prefer soaking them overnight and eating them in the morning. Here are some dry fruits and nuts you must eat every day.

She also suggests having almonds without the outer skin because the skin has an enzyme inhibitor that can affect the absorption and digestion process. You can eat a handful i.e. about 8-10 almonds in a day.
